"The just shall live by faith." What did that look like for women in Bible times, and what does that look like now? Come with us and learn of Mary, whose faith submitted, Miriam, whose faith led, Jochabed, whose faith created, and Ruth, whose faith was selfless. Our speakers will reacquaint us with these awesome women of faith as we relive their stories for the purpose of our encouragement and growth. (Seminary Room B)

From Orphan to Heir: From Helpless to Defender

What is the church's responsibility to the fatherless, particularly those who are orphans? What does the Bible have to say, if anything, about adoption and other means of caring for the multitude of children around the world without a family? Learn about your own spiritual journey from orphan to heir of God, the church's responsibility to care for the fatherless, and the many ways you can answer that call. (Seminary Room A)

"Action 2, 3, 4!": Teaching Ministry to Young Children

Taught by: Pastor John Hodnett, Dr. Doug Finkbeiner, Pastor Tim Jordan

There's always lots of action when you teach a class of 2, 3 and 4 year olds. If you're not properly prepared, their actions could make for a long session. This course is designed to give you the tools and mind-set you will need to be better equipped for the task. Pastor Tim will speak on the importance of this ministry as a service to the Lord. Pastor Doug will address ways of effectively communicating to children. And, Pastor Hodnett will review the policies and procedures of teaching in Jr. Church and Sunday School. Classes are not only for all Jr. Church and Sunday School teachers of this age group, but for anyone interested in improving their ability to teach children. (Seminary Room C)

Handling Finances in a Troubled Economy

Unemployed? Underemployed? Financially strapped due to the current economy? What does the Scripture teach us about handling financial difficulty? What might God want to teach us in these challenging economic times? What practical steps should you be taking to deal with the pressures of job loss or inadequate income? This class will explore both the Biblical principles and financial practices needed to deal with the current economic challenges of our day. (Fellowship Hall)

Proverbs: Practical Wisdom for the Road of Life

In Proverbs, Solomon gives the believer "Practical Wisdom for the Road of Life." In this CBI class, we will be surveying topics such as: "The Nature and Basis of Wisdom—The fear of the LORD;" "Choices on the Road of Life;" and "Fellow Travelers on the Road of Life." (Auditorium)
