Children’s Director Position Description

Overview
Calvary is looking for a full-time children’s director to minister with our church and to our community.  The ideal candidate will have a heart for serving children and be a good team player.   If you love seeing children discover and deepen their relationship with Jesus through small and large group gatherings and are passionate about encouraging families to disciple their children, then Calvary could be an excellent fit for you.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all programming for children throughout the church.
• Plan and oversee special events related to children and families including VBS, Trunk or treat, Egg hunt, etc.
• Recruit, develop and manage children’s ministry volunteers.
• Participate in the pastoral staff meetings.
• Oversee all children’s Bible teaching to ensure consistency with the church’s statement of faith.
• Review all curriculum used by the children’s ministry.
• Possess good organizational skills.
• Partner with parents to help them disciple their children.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Agreement with Calvary’s statement of faith
• A bachelor’s degree
• A love for children and a desire to teach and mentor them.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• A commitment to the mission of Calvary
• A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9)
• Ability to pass a background check.

Compensation

• Commensurate with experience
