Ministry for Dummies: Three Notes for a Faithful Life
Ministry isn't complicated—but it does require three essential notes that Paul sounds repeatedly in 1 Timothy 4.
First, proclaim the truth. Know God's Word well enough to share it accurately with others. Second, live out the truth. Stop letting your profession and practice be at odds. The most powerful proclamation isn't what you say, but how you live. Third, hope in the gospel. This life is preparing us for eternity with God.
Here's the challenge: You can know all the right answers and still not live them out. The Amish families who attended their children's killer's funeral understood something profound—faith isn't just belief, it's practice. What truth is God calling you to actually live this week? The good servant of Christ must speak the truth boldly, embody the truth daily, and fix their hope fully on the living God.
